Our aim is to introduce leaders and managers to the possibilities and instruments of change management. We give a first insight that allows to grasp how our approach can help the organization and to reflect on what they can do alone and where they should employ professional external support for leading large transformations or for making their organization capable to effective adaptations.
Description
Leaders and managers have the technical and professional knowledge and experience relevant to their specific fields and organizations. They are aware of how their organizations operate and, when the external environment changes, they can envisage what kind of transformations or adaptation would be necessary. It can still be challenging to manage a coordinated shift from the old to the new operation, minimizing operational risks and avoiding overcharge of stress and anxiety on staff. We can help them by showing the procedural instruments enabling constructive change management. We discuss how to engender change processes which can achieve professional objectives, but which at the same time can also effectively manage fears, stress, expectations and conflicts, so as to achieve employee committment and engagement.
During the discussion, we also offer room for raising some specific issues pertinent to participants’ organizations and for discussing some of the specific challenges that they face. This part of the discussion encourages reflection on contextualized strategies and potential solutions.
By the end of the session participants:
- will have had a broad picture about the possible strategies, instruments and potential benefits of change menagement
- will have been aquinted with instruments that can help enhance their organizations’ adaptive capacity
- will have been able to decide whether they need professional support in designing and implementing change management processes.
