Our aim is to explain what happens during the first encounters, how these encounters can shape new entrants’ attitudes, assumptions, expectations and later engagements. We offer insights into the processes of organizational socialization, and by presenting practical instruments, we discuss how we can influence the socialization and work ethics of staff members. We also discuss what the key components and potential impacts of Inception Trainings are and how an organization can determine the contextually best content and process of such trainings.
By the end of the presentation and discussion the participating leaders and managers:
